    Updated List of Sites Offering School Meals Starting April 6, 2020

    Escambia County School District’s Food Service Department has updated the list of school sites where families will be able to pick up breakfast and lunch, for free, beginning Monday, April 6. All sites will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to give children or teens a breakfast meal and a lunch meal during the same visit. The list has been adjusted after a review of the proximity to other local providers and the number of families who visited the ECSD sites.

     

    Supplemental school meals will be available 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the following sites beginning April 6, Monday through Friday, with the exception of Friday, April 10, which was already on the ECSD calendar as a non-student day. Families will need to make other arrangements for that day.

    The meals provided by the ECSD sites are designed to be carried away and consumed off campus (cafeteria/dining rooms will not be open). Meals will be distributed in a curbside pick-up operation. Food items will be in to-go containers and will consist of ready-to-eat food items that should be consumed when received or should be quickly refrigerated for consumption at a later time.

     

    According to the USDA’s policy, the child or children must be 18 and younger; and children do not have to be a student at that school in order to pick up meals there.
